Lancaster Civic Vision, previously Lancaster Civic Society, has since its inception in 1967 expounded about the the wonderful area that we live in that has an abundance of history, heritage and natural beauty.
One of the ways that we demonstrate all of these wonderful assets is by a series of guides, leaflets and walks that have been produced by long standing member and local historian Gordon Clark.
He has produced over 100 and there can be few areas around this country that can boast such an extensive range information on such diverse topics.
All of these guides and leaflets are free and a short summary of each one numerically is given, followed by a reading pane in which the guide itself is reproduced and which can then be downloaded and printed for convenience, should you wish to put it in your pocket when visiting that specific area.
Whilst the numbering of these guides is not in any particular order below there is an index which indicates which ones cover which particular subjects.
The guides are then set out over five pages in order that they can be uploaded quickly – 1 to 25, 26 to 50, 51 to 75, 76 to 100 and 101 plus with supplementals and which can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate links below:
